No, we are not doing Captain Harlock series. Somebody else is.
The group is Offtopia and they released a WHOLE VOLUME of Space Pirate Captain Harlock. Moreover, the guys work with a 3-volume edition, so it’s one third of Captain Harlock manga in English!! With all authority of a newly-made editor I say the scans and the editing quality are superb. AK says something along the same lines about the translation.
Only it seems that nobody around knows about this release – which is a shame – so I guess this promotion won’t hurt anybody.

Greetings, I’ve done the cleaning for volume 2, and 3 is going to be scanned in hopefully soon. We plan to do quite a few other Leiji as well!
I should also mention my friend Katatonia is doing the translations for a great deal of coming Leiji. If you guys are interesting, I doubt we’d mind jointing for hep with cleaning and typesetting.

Indeed, he’s said! Our Leiji plans now…I’m helping Offtopia finish up Captain Harlock. Volume 2 is cleaned and translated, but I’m waiting for the typesetters to get through. Queen Emeraldus V1 as well. Offtopia’s so swamped it’s taking a while. In the future, we’ve also planned Battleship Yamato, Queen Millennia, Galaxy Express 999 and Nibelungen/Harlock Saga with other possible others like Shadow Warrior. Katatonia’s going to translate them all and I’m cleaning them, though more help with the typesetting/cleaning when we get to more would definitely help. I’m loving the Leiji thus far.
